Of the 12 Jyotirlings, two famous ones namely Mahankal in Ujjain and Omkareshwar near Narmada river accredit Indore with its religious importance. This city is also a food lovers paradise. The street food of the city is extremely popular across the country. The world famous food hangouts such as Chappan Dukaan and Sarafa bazaar offer a variety of delicacies of which Sarafa is a jewellery market during the day time and a street food haven during the night.
